Eligibility: Only
pastors and full-time military and prison
chaplains are eligible. Only one entry per pastor.
Content:
Content must support biblically, the
disciple-making spirit of the brochure. Message
presented in the outline must be in harmony with
the definition of a disciple: “A disciple is an
obedient follower of Jesus Christ who is actively
engaged in making disciples by teaching obedience
to everything Jesus commanded in self, family,
congregation and neighborhood.”
Judging:
In addition to content, qualified sermon outlines
will be judged on these primary considerations:
1. Persuasive
disciple-making power of the outline.
2. Pastor’s skill in
personalizing the need for making disciples in
self, family, congregation and neighborhood.
3. Pastor’s
sensitivity in communicating Christ’s love as the
dominant spiritual power in each of the ten
outlines.
4. Clarity,
relevance, organization and biblical accuracy.
5. Decisions by the
judges and/or the Awards panel will be final.
Submission:
Must be typewritten or computer prepared copy. No
handwritten entries will qualify. All 2003
qualified entries must be postmarked on or before
June 30, 2004. Winners will be announced on or
before September 30, 2004.
