Jim Russell and his wife, Phyllis, co-founded the Amy
Foundation in 1976, naming it after their daughter. The Foundation is best
known for sponsoring the Amy Writing Awards for the past 18 years. The
awards annually recognize the presentation of biblical truth reinforced with
scripture in mainstream, non-religious publications. First prize is $10,000.

Awakening the Giant &
Becoming A Christ-Centered,
Disciple-Making Church
In
1996, Zondervan published Jim Russell's book, Awakening the Giant,
which outlines our Christ-centered, disciple-making plan. To lower the
cost to churches seeking to teach this plan, the Amy Foundation started
offering a self-contained brochure titled "The United States – A Discipled
Nation in this Generation." Over the past 8 years, the Foundation provided
several hundred thousand free copies,
distributed through church services, prayer breakfasts, seminars, workshops,
etc. This brochure is the predecessor to "Becoming A Christ-Centered, Disciple-Making
Church."
The Amy
Foundation Disciple-Making Products
In
2002, The Amy Foundation initiated publishing and distributing
disciple-making materials that teach "Becoming A Christ-Centered, Disciple-Making
Church." Our product list includes a challenging adult workbook series,
a trade book series for small groups, and dynamic youth and children's
electives. The Foundation continues to fill out its lines by producing
high-quality disciple-making products. Click here

The Amy Foundation's Statement of Faith
-
We believe the Bible to be
the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
-
We believe that there is one
God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
-
We believe in the deity and
humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His
miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His
bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and
in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in
power and glory.
-
We believe that for the
salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is
absolutely essential.
-
We believe in the present
ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to
live a godly life.
-
We believe in the
resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the
resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of
damnation.
-
We believe in the spiritual
unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
